we had lots of family come and be there with us: my parents, my sister ellen and her family, my brother james, my brother delos and his family, dave's parents, his brother greg and his family, his brother michael, my aunt peggy and her husband. it was so nice to have them all there with us to celebrate zoe. one of my favorite parts of the blessing said that zoe would find her worth not in the eyes of the world but from heavenly father. i so hope that she will.
she looked like an angel in her pretty white dress (a dress my mom bought for me at swiss days from saranoni, before i knew we were having a girl and before i had announced i was pregnant, so i didn't show you at the time). so, this first one isn't the best picture of zoe, but you can see the pretty dress at least!
at this point noah was already only in underwear and socks,
so here is a family picture minus one, and one of me and dave with baby girl:
peggy and johnpaul (and zoe, of course)
ellen and misty and eliza, luke and noah, greg, jessica and emerson, alexis, vivian...
like i said, lots of family.
after almost everybody left we went back to our house for some wii, a rousing game of racko, and sunday dinner. we were sad to see everybody go, but so glad we could have such a nice weekend. i am so grateful for our amazing families and their love and support for us and zoe.
* a blessing is sort of like a christening, i think. mormons don't get baptized until they're eight years old, but a blessing is performed for infants, usually by the baby's father, who blesses the baby through the priesthood to have certain attributes and blessings in his or her life.

looks like a lovely day with a lovely baby. and bytheway, those rainbow leggings are the best thing i've seen on a baby ever.

4. hello, skinny!
YOU look beautiful!
And I adore that little dress.
Jealous I wasn't there.
Wow! That's quite the crowd. And you really are the hostess with the mostess -- did you get all that food and decorative stuff ready beforehand? With 3 kids? And 9am church? Impressive!
It was so great to be there and Zoe is sooooooo cute.
What a perfect day. This is making me so want another little one...
OH I wish we could have gone! She is so beautiful and you look amazing! I love her leggings!
What a perfect day! She looks beautiful in her pretty dress. I love days like that with family and food and chaos. Congrats, Foley family!
sounds perfect! and i love your skirt!
everyone is so beautiful! what a blessed day! and i LOVE your skirt!
Jennifer-- the leggings are my sister Ellen's. She won them in the giveaway I did on here a while ago, and she loaned them to me for Zoe. I LOVE them. Love.
Thanks to all who said I looked pretty. It's nice to hear!
Lynette, I'm starting to. It's shorter than I wanted in the back but it's SO much easier and faster, and I think I probably look better with shorter hair than with long. but I kind of miss it.
Stacy, my mom brought the fruit, sister-in-law brought the muffins, Vivian helped me make the casseroles the night before and then I just put them in the oven right before we left for church. Then we came home and Dave and my brother got the casseroles while me and the gals set up the clubhouse. It's easier when you have lots of help.
Skirt from Downeast. I think I love it too.
Cute skirt. Cute shoes. Cute hair! Cute baby.
I love family days like that! We were really glad to be able to be there. I loved seeing everyone (especially you) but I was really just there to hold Zoe. ;) I'm flattered that a few of the pictures I took made it on here. Sorry for not telling you about the burp rag earlier, and for not seeing that Dave's eyes were closed. You look great and that's really what matters, right?!
such a cute little girl! that dress is darling. ...and how nice to have family not too far that they can all share such a special day with zoe!
