My friend sells caramel apples in Grants and I had hoped to get to her holiday boutique a few weekends ago but Dave ended up having football all day so I didn't make it. I decided to take matters into my own hands the next Monday and made my own! I did Caramel Apple Pie apples and took some tips from two different blogs--this one for the sprinkled topping, this for everything else--and they turned out SO GOOD. My kids didn't like them so Dave and I each had one and I gave the rest to friends but it was a fun experiment. It wasn't even as much work or money as I had expected, it was just fun. And man are they pretty!
