treehouse

I took the boys to the Treehouse Children's Museum in Ogden today. It was...an experience. After Isaac's seventh tantrum in less than two hours, I decided it was time to head home. In the meantime, I took a few pictures of the, er, fun.
The first three are Isaac and Noah in the music room. There were all sorts of xylophones all around the room and tons of drums and other fun things. It was the only room that Isaac didn't cry in.

You can see Isaac in his time-out sitting on the bench of the treehouse, and crying again as I snapped a picture of them on the giant map of the United States. I had fun pointing out to him where me, Dave, and he and Noah were all born while he screamed and cried. Noah loved going up and down the stairs of the treehouse and Isaac did too for a minute or so.

Here's a picture of Noah in the Oval Office, chatting up old Honest Abe. A sign of presidential things to come? One can only hope. The next picture is Isaac fighting with 18 or 19 month old kids for trains at one of the 14 train tables, the main source of tantrums today. Then another picture of Noah enjoying the toddler play tables. I wish I had gotten a picture of the fish, they had a Nemo fish tank that both kids loved. I'm thinking of buying a season pass because it would be a fun place to go this winter when it's too cold outside to play.
Finally, here's a quick video of Noah being a fireman. Isaac refused to get on and play, so instead sat on the floor and screamed at me for a while. A good time was had by none. But, in keeping with my thankful theme for the month, I guess I can say I am thankful that Noah was happy the whole time, making the trip at least bearable.

Oh Emily! I'm so sorry it was so rough! And yet you manage to have a sense of humor about it. Do you do that in the moment, too? It's something I respect SO much (maintaining humor while frustrated). I *hope* I do that. I'm trying. We do try. And CUTE VIDEO!! What a doll!

You bring back such....memories for me. ha! yes yes, those are the good times. Or at least the times. They make for good things to remember and laugh about later anyway.

I laugh ALL THE TIME now.

stacy, no i do not have a sense of humor at the time. i get madder and madder until i'm about to explode, then we go home and isaac stays in his room for the rest of the day...it's not a pretty sight.
