Zoe's THIRD day of THIRD grade!

Zoe started third grade this year! She's still going to Red Rock, though I'm thinking seriously about moving her to Turpen, the school next door. This summer her best friend was supposed to move to Alaska but they ended up staying, so she's staying at Red Rock to be with her. Zoe doesn't make friends easily and Rozlyn is just the cutest friend, I couldn't bear to break them up. Luckily they're in the same class again this year. Her teacher is Miss Petranovich. She's 23, this is only her second year teaching, but she seems like she's got it together and we all like her so far.

Zoe went to a cheerleading camp this summer and one day had to wear black shorts. We found some at Walmart that she likes and when school started I bought her a bunch of them, so she's wearing something besides dresses every day and it's kind of fun! We haven't had a bad morning yet, which is new for us. She usually throws a lot of tantrums in the morning but a week in and so far so good. Dave has driven her to school every day for the past 2 years so it's kind of new for me to drop her off. She's super talkative in the mornings and it's cute. She's had homework every day so far and is quickly learning multiplication and division. It's been a good week, I hope it stays that way!
