Easter 2018

We did our (three years now!) tradition of celebrating Easter week during Holy week before Easter. I love it so much and I'm so thankful to my friend Stephanie for introducing the concept to us. Each night we did a small devotional, read scriptures, and felt the Spirit. On Thursday I actually got some middle eastern food from Zoe's friend Lamece's family restaurant, Oasis. I got a lamb kabob with rice and salad and hummus with pita bread. It was seriously delicious. We ate in candle light and talked about the Last Supper. It wasn't super reverent with Finn and Jonas there but we still felt happy and peaceful as we talked about the Savior's life. After dinner as I cleared the table this was our front door. It looked so beautiful and made me think of the second coming so I had to take a picture.

Friday night my friend Tania's family hid eggs in our front yard as part of an adoption fundraiser. Saturday morning Dave had to clean the church then I added some of our own eggs and the kids went hunting. It was cute and fun. It's funny to see Isaac hunting with Jonas. I probably should have let the little ones go first and then sent the big ones out to get the ones higher up but it was fine, everyone got some and was happy.

Sunday morning we got Easter baskets and had our sunrise devotional and talked about the empty tomb. It was General Conference that weekend so we stayed home and had yummy food and watched our new prophet speak.

Jonas, Finn, Zoe, Noah, Isaac ('s baskets)

Logan sang in the choir during Priesthood session, we were so excited to see him on TV!!!

Coloring Easter Eggs! Finn's first time, he was enthralled.

Easter dinner: ham, potatoes, rolls, deviled eggs...
and a pretty ice cream cake from Baskin Robbins!
Jonas ... no shirt. No idea why.
I love Easter. I'm so grateful to the Savior for his atoning sacrifice. I'm so grateful for the empty tomb and that we will all be resurrected. What a blessing.
