all about summer (and tyler)

we spent the weekend in albuquerque with family, helping to prepare for and then partying at my niece summer's wedding reception. mormons do this weird thing where they get married and have a reception and then have another one. in my case, we had the wedding and reception on the same day in albuquerque and then had another in california so dave's friends and neighbors could be a part of that. so this was summer's second reception. it was held at the four hills country club, mainly because my sister (alice) didn't want to do all the work that goes into a reception--and she was right on. it was so nice, the food was good, and alice's friend and pseudo-wedding planner shelby(?) did an incredible job. the flowers and centerpieces were alice's job and they were gorgeous. i was happy to be there early enough that i could go help set up and see what it was all going to look like.
the whole night was just really fun, and i'm so glad we got to go. the highlight of the night was summer's dance with her dad to "i loved her first". there wasn't a dry eye in the house...i was bordering on sobs. for real. it was beautiful and touching, just what a wedding should be. congratulations to sweet summer and tyler, and good luck with being newlyweds and working and going to school! you can do it! heh.

now prepare for picture overload...
alex, misty, bekah, delos, zoe, and james enjoying dinner
my sister sara fixing plates for eric and rachel in the cutest dress ever
boys enjoying noodles
hannah, haley, logan, hunter, austin, charlie, david (nieces and nephews)
summer and tyler, isn't she GORGEOUS?
dinner. it only took 40 pictures for my jokester aunt and uncle to finally take a good one.
(those are them, peg and johnpaul)

i wish this picture had better lighting so you could see alice better. i have never, ever seen her look more beautiful, and that dress was to DIE for. it was perfect! i'm not even able to call it a "mother of the bride" dress because it was just too gorgeous. she looked fantastic.
(thanks to the jokester aunt and uncle and their ipads, the boys were happy all night long)
my brother james tried to teach me to waltz. unsuccessfully.

still to come...one or two videos, and the foleys' contribution to keeping it a classy affair.

so so so pretty! i love it!

one of the best things about having two receptions: TWO wedding dresses! brillant!

my mom is coming out in July for the purpose of finding a "mother of the bride dress" although she doesn't want it to be classified as such. because all of the "mother of the bride" dresses are not really pretty.

i'm pretty sure i'm going to have to still that luminaries idea.

can't wait to see more pic's and videos!
