i'm so mad i could scream (and i did).

when isaac was born, dave's grandma gave him a piggy bank that said "isaac's missionary fund" on it, and it had a little bit of change in the bottom. i thought it was such a cute idea, and a neat keepsake for him, and a cute way for him to save a bit for his mission. we've slowly added to the bank, and last saturday my mom came to visit and brought him a small ziploc bag full of quarters to add to his bank.

today i got the piggy bank down for him to put the quarters into. when he was finished, it was pretty much completely full. he lifted it up and put it on the counter above our sink. i walked around from the kitchen to grab it from him and put it away, when all of a sudden he put his hand on it and pushed it....towards the sink. it wasn't an accident, he did it on purpose. i watched him do it, but was too far away to stop it. i'm not sure why he did it, but he did.

this was the result.
i'm so mad at him about it. the bank had no way to open so it would eventually have to be broken to get the money out. but i wanted him to have this until he was 19. i wanted it to be a tangible reminder of his sweet great-grandma, and of our goal for him to serve a mission.
and now dave is spending his evening doing this, because there was so much change and glass down in the garbage disposal that we couldn't possibly get it all out any other way.
why do kids do stuff like that? ugh.

oh, and another beauty? the disposal won't work at all now.

Aaarrrggghhh! The fun just never ends! Sorry you have to deal with that - like you don't have enough other stuff to do/think about.

how frustrating! I would've screamed, too. And then cried.

Ugghhh! I know how you feel. P got mad at me one time and as I walked in the room to take her off time out, she grabbed my favorite necklace and looked me right in teh eye and broke it! I was sooo mad! It was totally on purpose! I just sat there and fumed, I knew I had to walk away or else I would do some damage to her spirit and a few spanks. I just bawled...I don't knwo why they do it, maybe they feel so 'forced' into doing things all the time that they just randomly say 'enough'
I am sorry!

Oh man! Huge bummer. I'm sorry. We had a penny in our disposal once. Kent had to dig it out and I was terrified it would come alive and chop off his hand. (it didn't. we were safe) Were those from cute Grandma Great? We just love her.

So sorry. I hate when things like this that you try so hard to do for a good reason get ruined. It just sucks!

Ugh, I'm sorry. They're so devious sometimes, it sucks. I probably would've done more than scream.... ;-)

Oh that's rotten! We call Grandma Great "Amy the Great" and that is such a sweet thing she did--that too bad that it broke. :(

Wasn't Dave the one who got a dinosaur stuck in a toilet that had to be sledge hammered open once? Maybe it's Karma?
