question of the week:

what is your favorite item of clothing?
************

i know i talk about clothes too much, but for some reason they're always on my mind. and as i've mentioned before, i have a problem with buying clothes i'm in love with that i later come to hate.

but there is something that i always want to wear. i generally have to limit myself to wearing them once a week. and that generally has to be a sunday when i know i'm not going anywhere public. they are my s'mee pants. my friend emilie gave them their name. they're navy blue sweats, but they're huge, like gauchos, and capri-length from eddie bauer. they were expensive, like $45 or something, but they are the most comfortable thing i have ever owned. if they looked good on me i would wear them several times a week. but i know they don't, and that's okay. but add to that that i always wear my navy/white striped t-shirt from the gap with them and, well, i look exactly like s'mee. i never noticed until emilie brought over my birthday cake and before she left she said "you look like s'mee from peter pan." i burst out laughing and had to agree. but that won't stop me. they're too comfortable.

what's your favorite (specific) item of clothing?

I have two. I love overalls. I just recently cleaned out my closet and I can't bring myself to get rid of them. I wish they were still in style because I LOVE them! So I wear them at home. The other thing I love is an old t-shirt that my brother gave me for my birthday one year. It's a little big on me and so comfy. I only wear it at home-usually on Sundays when I am lounging around. It is starting to get holes in it but I still wear it all the time!

Ha. I've been thinking about this ALL day (or month, actually). It's my Paige jeans that were perfection before the babe...UGH! I'm wearing them right now- pretending that they're not too snug at my hips. I had to suck in to get them to button.

Well fitting black v-neck tshirts are my favorite. There is a whole body-image and chest size minimalization theory behind this, but I'll spare you.

Ryan bought me several pairs of flannel pj's for Christmas 2 years ago (when I was pregnant) that I adore and would wear all day everyday if I could, but they are HUGE on me now and are falling off me whenever I wear them, so I guess I should find a new favorite piece of clothing that might stay on and that I could possibly wear in public...

Mr. S'mee!! Haha I love it! Hmm what's my favorite item of clothing, well since I don't wear clothes..oh didn't I tell you I joined a nudist colonie? Yeah, its great, cold but great..you don't have to worry about looking stylish..but you know you do worry about the fat rolls..oh what, tangent? sorry..haha I'd have to say this brown zip up hoodie that 'R' bought for himself..it was so soft that I took it over and well now its mine. Its particularly nice on cold evenings when I have to get up and feed the baby..scroungie..yes, comfy, deifinitly and since i'm still trying to loose weight (yeah right will it EVER come off?) its great!

Hahahaha, you're too funny! I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE clothes, for me and for my children. They have so many clothes, it's ridiculous! I can't think of one specific item of clothing that's my absolute favorite, but I must say that I love wearing my jammies and comfy clothes! I wear them until I leave my house and as soon as I get home, I put them back on!

jess i wish i knew you still loved overalls, i just gave all of mine away, and i had some really good ones still. sad.

em, you have a good excuse. it takes me about 6 months to fit back into my jeans!

diane, i wear gigantic pjs too. they're so comfy, even if they do fall down around my ankles every now and then.

rachel, i do that same thing (so does dave). comfy is the best.

ellen, i haven't ever seen those ones. give 'em.

lex, love dave's blue hoodie! funny! but he won't let me steal it.

I have an gray Old Navy t-shirt that's super old and so faded you can't even see the logo anymore. It's perfectly worn and soft... and holey. I LOVE it! I like pairing it with my favorite "cheaters" (ie:sweatpants). We call them cheaters because you can cheat with the elastic waistband. :)
Don't I sound so stylish!

you sound exactly like me...i finally had to throw away my favorite sleep shirt last night--my mom brought it from disney world a few years ago, it has tinkerbell on it--but the hole on the right side was so big it was getting inappropriate, even for sleep. sad.
