He is doing great with nursery on Sundays. This past week their class walked past primary and when he saw me he came running in and sat on my lap. Sister Decker, our music leader, grabbed his hand and said "Okay now let's go back to nursery and sing!" and he hopped off my lap and went with her. It was crazy. He just went.
Jonas loves his dad more than anything or anyone in the whole world. A while ago he got hurt and I tried to comfort him and he literally pushed me out of the way to get to Dave.
He has a recent obsession with Ramen noodles and wants them three or four times a day. He doesn't eat very well and I think he's hungry all the time, but I haven't really figured out what he wants to eat (besides Ramen). He'll take a bite of anything you offer and then spit it out. He also loves gum and totally freaks out if he wants some and I don't have any or won't give him a piece. He has learned to climb and gets on top of anything and everything. He got on top of my bathroom counter yesterday and dumped out half my makeup and a brand new unused bottle of Paul Mitchell skinny hair serum. That was a fun clean-up. He'll climb on top of Zoe's dresser, her windowsill, he'll pull out bins from under his crib and climb into his crib, he'll get on top of the counter and pull out and dump spices, he's a holy terror! I try not to even use the bathroom anymore without him there with me or I regret it later.
Jonas doesn't play well unless I'm sitting there with him. It's like he doesn't know what to do. He'll request to watch Mickey Mouse but he never actually watches any TV. He loves to be outside and wants to shoot hoops in the driveway (his words). His passion right now is "poopies." He loves to get a glove (and make Dave get gloves) and go outside to pick up the dog poop in our backyard. Or clean out the kitty litter. He's done that bare-handed the past two days and gotten super busted over it. It's disgusting.
He's slowly losing his naps and it's making me sad. He usually wakes up around 6:30 or 7 and used to go down for a nap around 12:30 but lately it's getting later, like 1:30 and he'll only sleep for 30 or 40 minutes, if he sleeps at all. I still leave him in his crib for a while so I can get a few things done. He goes to bed at 8:00 or 8:30.
I love how much he talks and how much he loves his dad. As soon as he turns 2 I'm putting him in PMO (Parents Morning Out) so he can have some time away from Finn and maybe learn how to play better, I'm not doing a great job of teaching that.
We love our Jonas!
