noah's 4th birthday

noah's birthday was last friday. since dave has friday's off and isaac gets out of school early,
we opted for an early party (mostly because noah couldn't wait one more second to open his presents).

he got a new scooter:

as he was opening it he said "buzz lightyear's coming up next!" (it's a buzz scooter). i think he watches too much tv, because they always say "'such and such' is coming up next" when one show ends and another begins...

and a new blanket, courtesy of grandma foley:

zoe was enthralled with the unwrapping of the presents...

and then the whole family enjoyed some cake (although i think the littlest member got a little sick from it):

we had to enjoy one of the last warm days we'll have here in stupid utah, so we went swimming:

and noah's friend cameron showed up while we were there! he couldn't have been happier.

 cc

and to finish off the day, we went to the restaurant that serves popcorn, noah's favorite:

yes; cake, ice cream, and presents BEFORE dinner. we're rebels like that. he had a fabulous day even though he was unsuccessfully fighting off a cold and fell sound asleep in his bed while dad was reading him his favorite story. we sure love our noah.

Wingers is Emmy's favorite for the same reason. It just happens to be my favorite as well. Can't get enough of the Amazing Sauce.

I haven't ever been to a Winger's. What do they have besides popcorn?

Looks like a FUN birthday. What a cutie. I love his reaction to his new "blankey" - Vivian does a great job on those. Kate LOVES hers and uses it all the time to read, snuggle, etc.!

Looks like a fun day! I'm glad Noah had a great birthday. John told me that you were all at the pool when they went over and Cameron was ecstatic!

I hope you got some of that DELISH mint chocolate chip ice cream pie while you were at Winger's. Looked like a great day and hope Noah had a fun day. Little Zoe is growing up too much! So cute.

Stacy, they serve wings (hence the name, heh heh) and sandwiches, salads, etc. They make the MOST amazing Wing sauce I have ever had, EVER. It's sooo goood. I invented something because I don't love wings, so years ago every time we went I would order the chicken strips and ask them to put wing sauce on them. And now they're on the menu, and probably the most popular thing as well, but they refuse to give me credit.

No Sara, we didn't get asphalt pie because we had cake and ice cream at home (but i REALLY wanted to).

What a sweet boy! I seriously can't believe that he's 4. Wow. Emerson would probably choose to go to Wingers, too. We can see it right off the freeway and the other day we were driving by and she said, "Look, That's for popcorn and food!" :)

Emily, you should so TOTALLY be getting credit for that. And money.

(And Jess, that's so cute!)
