but i love when you pick newborns up
and they stick their tush out
and fold their legs up.
it's one of my favorite things.
weird, eh?
******
i miss dave most
when it's bath time.
somehow i just don't do it right,
and zoe knows it...
and she screams at me.
******
we're blessing zoe
this sunday.
shoot me an email
if you'd like to come!
******
my dad
compiled a book
with the life story
of his parents,
him and his siblings,
and all of their children.
it's the coolest book ever.
sadly, i wrote my portion
like 2 years ago
so zoe isn't even mentioned.
******
i forgot
that i can't eat pizza
when i'm nursing.
poor zoe.
******
did i tell you about
my cool aunt peggy?
she sent me over 300 size one diapers.
we're just about to go through
the first box,
and open the second.
not buying diapers,
not even one time since baby girl was born,
is, well, priceless.
(pun intended.)
******
dave drove
over 700 miles
yesterday.
******
zoe's sleeping,
so i'm getting off the computer
right now.
i have a book to read.

Seriously... what time is church? We are flying over tonight!!
The newborn stretch is the best thing in the whole world. Their little tushes poking out....so cute.
Where did Dave go? That is a serious drive.
9 am, peg!
I really can't get enough Zoe pictures so keep em coming!
I love the squishy newborn phase! The best is when they curl up like a little bug on your chest.
Funny. Greg doesn't like doing baths much. He feels funny about cleaning her "lady biz." Is that tmi?!
We'll be there for the blessing but I can't promise a very quiet 2 year old.
Happy reading!
zoe is super cute! write about her all you want, i definitely don't mind!
sorry bathtime is no fun.
no pizza and no chocolate?! what's up with that?
way to be awesome aunt peggy!
so what does dave driving 700 miles have to do with zoe?
Where's Dave go? Love that 2nd picture of her--so cute!
That picture of the smile is so very FOLEY! She is gorgeous!
that precious post made my arms just ache for a tiny newborn! such a fleeting moment...sigh. i love zoe's profile, she is such a beautiful girl. are the boys still good with her? i'm starting to get nervous about the possible sibling rivalry!
Yep, they're still awesome with her Jenny. I think Noah occassionally feels a little pushed out but he's never tried to hurt her or anything, just wants extra attention/holding. Isaac could seriously sit and talk to/hold her all day long. It's going great.
Thanks everyone! I think she's precious too.
Stacy, Dave has been traveling all over the state doing immunization audits at public schools. This week he was in Blanding, about 375 or so miles from here.
She is so darling. I totally know what you are talking about when you pick up a newborn, and I love it too!! You'll have to tell me what you think of the last Fablehaven book. I'm soooo excited to read it. We are flying out to UT next Saturday so we can actually have family at Casen's blessing. I'm going to steal my MIL's book so I don't have to go and buy it. Yep, I'm cheap like that. :)
Hey Tara, cheapness is underrated. I stole my mom's copy. And it was awesome, by the way. Loved it!
I know exactly what you mean with the newborn stretching thing when you pick them up. I always tell Brian that's my favorite thing that Porter does. We try to catch it on video; but it's never quite the same as seeing it firsthand. Zoe is such a cutie! I love it when you post pics of her on your blog. We're excited for her blessing tomorrow!
oh my goodness, she is seriously so cute! cameron asks every day if he can go meet 'isaac and noah's stister'... :) i'm working full time this week helping to open the HUGE centerville store, but maybe in a week or so we'll come visit..? :)
I absolutely LOVE the baby stretch. It always gets me. I was pulled back into newborn stage this week when I went to go get Rainier out of bed and he pulled that sweet move out...oh it's so nice.
yes jenn, i'd love you to! they did get to see her outside thursday night when john was out there with them. but come anytime!
