and i'm...oh geez...thirty years old.

i can hardly even say it.
maybe if i throw the word "thirty" around
every now and then
it won't sound quite so bad.

i just realized last night
that i can sleep on my back again.
oh the heavens opened up
and i wept with joy.
why it took me 2 weeks to remember
i'll never know.

isaac can read.

this fills me with pride.
all five-year-olds
should probably be reading
at this point in their lives,
but when he reads,
it makes me feel magical.

i need:
a trip to target.
a cold cherry coke with yummy ice.
a manicure.
warm weather.
a hair cut.

new jeans.
less laundry.

march madness begins on my birthday?

i tried to make a birthday list this year.
i couldn't come up with one thing that i wanted.

happy birthday! you're so funny. i don't know how it feels to turn 30, i still have a few years, but john just turned 30 two weeks ago. he says it's not so bad, after you realized all that you've done in 30 years, he says he feels quite accomplished. i like what natalie said... it's the perfect mix of youth and responsibility. :) have a lovely birth-day!

I know it's really lame and petty, but one of my first thoughts when we were talking to the allergist was how sad it would be for her to not get cake on her birthday. But, my heart skipped a beat when I saw that second cookbook you linked to. They look delicious! I'm excited to start trying some allergy free recipes!

I asked for an outdoor toy for my kids for my birthday one year. Luke couldn't figure out why I would do that, but it is a BIG gift to have your kids happy and entertained. Happy Birthday!!! You deserve to have a really great birthday!
