sid the science kid. i didn't mind isaac watching this show at first because he actually really liked it and seemed to learn stuff. enter sid's grandma. she picks him up from school and...i don't even know how to describe her. i tried to find a youtube clip but couldn't, but people, grandma is crazy. like straight-up mentally ill. i don't know how they cast her role, or who in their right mind thought that she was doing a good job, but sid's grandma is possibly the most annoying character that has ever existed. even worse than jar-jar binks and annie. here's an example. imagine a super high-pitched fake voice, and then she goes "hey sid, yeah, yeah, i'm here to pick you up (giggle giggle) yeah and then yeah we're going to go (giggle giggle) home and have some cookies! yeah! (giggle giggle)" it is the most awkward, strange, horribly annoying thing i've possibly ever seen on television.
and then there's special agent oso. my kids like it, and as long as i don't watch it with them, it's fine. but i spend five minutes with this show and i'm ready to strangle somebody. why is oso a super secret agent if he doesn't know how to put on his own shirt, button his pants, or put his shoes on the right feet? and when palm pilot gives him his assignment, she always breaks out into song with verses, choruses, and a bridge. if i was oso i would go "thanks palm pilot...next time, can you just tell me? that took like 17 minutes and i need to get to work."
which brings us to handy manny. could he and kelly just get together already? and what's with all the singing? fez does not have a great voice, and manny used to be all about fixing things, but all he does now is sing sing sing. i mean come on. just fix the stupid shoestore sign, then go on a date with kelly, and be done with it all manny. i don't need any more songs about "you break it, we fix it."
and now back to your regularly scheduled programming.

Hilarious Em! I actually think that Sid's voice is super annoying and kind of creepy. Like a grown man trying to talk baby talk. I haven't watched it enough to be annoyed by Grandma...yet. I agree that Manny and Kelly just need to move past all the physical tension! Funny!
So funny. I've never seen the first two shoes but maybe sid's grandma is making "special" brownies instead of cookies and that's why she always giggles, and just because someone has a handicap mental/physical I am sure it doesn't mean they cant be a super spy. Anywho hope you survive the cartoon craze, Caihou (sp?) used to drive me absolutely bananas when my kids were little. Now it's The Suite Life of Zach and Cody. YIKES!!!
omg emily...seriously, oso is the worst show disney's ever come out with (aside from maybe the new jungle junction...but it may be too soon to tell.) i strategically make it so that we "miss" that one every morning. i have a soft spot for that manny though; such a kind soul. i definitely get a little soap opera-ish anticipation every time he and kelly are together. she'd make such a good mother to the tools.
hate them all. we are still on mickey mouse clubhouse and barney at my house. with the occasional wiggles. our very favorite is shaun the sheep. ever seen that? it is hilarious, now my whole family is addicted. too bad it's only 5 minutes at a time. i highly recommend it.

my boys love 'Dinosaur Train' 'Word World' and 'Go, Diego, Go'... I actually looove Dinosaur Train, it's cute. the others i could do without. haha
The thing I hate about "Oso" is that I'm singing, "Three special steps. . . so now you know. . ." ALL DAY LONG!!!! I hate that!
