random thought thursday, in pictures.

boys broke my hurricane
and some of my orange glass balls.
glass doesn't last long at my house.

******

isaac threw our sun shade off
the stairwell balcony the other day.
it somehow flew to the right
and got stuck on the rain gutter.
don't ask me how.
it was totally stuck, too.
dave had to seriously yank it out,
and it ripped.
powerful sunshade.

******

have you ever seen a part so straight?
my hair does that naturally.
it just happens on its own as i comb it out.
weird, right?
maybe i should start parting it on the other side
to confuse it.

******

isaac began tennis lessons this week.
it did not go well.
here he is,
5 minutes before class is over,
finally stopped crying,
attempting to spin his racket
while the other kids are learning "ready position."
he's gonna be a star, i can feel it.

******

this is my new clock.
it says "kensington station" on it.
makes me feel british.

our light is broken.

i don't think i could get that straight of a part if i used a comb! bummer about your glass hurricane and at least your boys didn't break your light!

Sorry about your Orange glass balls! I have renounced anything breakable as decoration until my boys are older... They have managed to break 2 head off a willow tree statue...

I can get a pretty straight part too... I switch it every once in a while, but it feels so weird!

Emily- I know you and Dave have been married long enough to know that the sunshade was not coming free without Dave ripping it. He is a strong dude, but when things get stuck, he turns freakishly strong. That thing was never coming out gently.

My hair parts exactly like that and so does Ella's.

We're like powerful-hair-part twins.

Love your clock. I want to add it to my clock wall. I'm still debating where all the clocks are going to go in my new house. I'm honestly losing sleep about it - how dumb is that?

sorry about the broken glass. what is a hurricane?!

wow, isaac is amazing.

awesome, hair! it's crazy when i change the side i put my part on someone always notices and says "what did you do differently to your hair." who knew a part could make such a difference.

i loved my tennis lessons when i was little. i did them with my cousin nikki and we had matching outfits.

cute clock!

the broken light looks sad.

Dave is funny and fine and everything. But oh how I wish we had worked next to each other. Somehow I know we would have laughed every day. HARD!

WOW!!! your boys ARE always breaking your stuff! That sucks!

Caleb wasn't very "into" any sports' camps or classes we put him in either. Maybe we need to see if he'll enjoy a gymnastics class or an acting class instead. Remember him in Aspen Grove? Didn't want ANYTHING to do with his group. Hung out with the leader the whole time. What a stick in the mud!

Cute clock! I love it. I think most of the lights around here are broken. Ours is too. Stupid. That's all I have to say....

Love the clock. Hate the destruction.

Maybe Isaac needs to try volleyball? It's the BEST sport there is!

That broken light reminds me of a dandelion with it's head popped off.
