my friend rachel told me about this cool attraction that disney is doing, and it's coming to salt lake june 16th. you can walk through the train to see the making of their upcoming film "a christmas carol" with jim carrey. there are carolers, christmas music, and even snow machines (that rachel said was actually soap)--and it's all for free. i would definitely check out if it's coming to your city soon. you can view the site here for more information.

yes! it'll actually be in ogden ellen, just so you know...you could drive to the gateway and ride the frontrunner to ogden, it's right at the ogden station.

I just went to this with my 3 cousins this weekend because it was here in Albuquerque. It was a very long wait (almost 2 hours) for a very quick and slightly boring train tour....The kids didn't really get into it much and that maybe an age thing as they are 2,4 and 6 years old. Just try to be there early if you do go so you don't have to endure the pain of 3 kids asking "How much longer til we get in the train?"
