question of the week:

what would you choose for your last meal?
******

last night at my parents house a bunch of us tossed around ideas for today's question of the week. there were several good options, but after a night of no sleep and extreme grouchiness on my part, i can't remember any of the good ones. so we're going with one of my own: your last meal. i like food. i like to cook it, but i mostly like to eat it. if i could choose the last thing i ever ate in this life, i think it would be a very involved meal. i would want to include all of my favorites. i would want a really good steak, my mom's potato salad, chicken marsala from carrabba's (shown in the picture at left), misty's fruit salad, double pan-fried noodles from pf chang's, and a slice of banana cream pie. if i could keep going i would include olive garden's salad, a slice of dion's pizza (green chile & ham party-cut with a side of ranch), sopapillas from garduno's, and a #5 12-count with a cherry coke from chick-fil-a.

yowza. i'm a pig. now i know why it would be my last meal: if i had that much food, i would literally eat myself to death.

what would you eat?

homemade Ukranian fried Pierogies with lots of sour cream and squarkis, a true Philly Cheesesteak from Tony Luke's, a beef quesadilla from Cafe Rio, Dr. Pepper to drink and Danish Puff Pastry and a banana/nutella crepe from Paris for dessert.

1 sugar cookie and 1 oatmeal raisin cookie. A chicken salad wrap (with extra mayo please). An ice cold Dr. Pepper or Coca-Cola from a soda fountain. And maybe a tiny scoop of Coffee Heath Bar ice cream.

Yummmmmm!

GASP!!!
A fellow Carrabba's Chicken marsala lover!!! John just thinks I like it because the marsala wine doesn't fully cook off and I come home feeling all happy inside. I claim that the mushrooms and yummy sauce make me feel all happy inside. Either way, I'm with you...let me die with carrabba's chicken marsala in my tummy! And is it me, or is Macaroni Grill's chicken marsala just a step down from divine???

...for some reason google won't let me sign in, but it's me, Carrie, not "anonymous"

I've never had it from MG, Carrie, now I'll have to try it. The nearest Carrabba's is in Provo, which is WAY too far for us.

I would totally go for everyone of my favorite treats. The brownie sundae from Cheesecake Factory, Otis Spunkmeyer chocolate chip cookies, a HUGE boston cream pie and a whole lotta fresh fruit and whipped cream.

I'd need about a week of last meals, but they would include: Frontier breakfast burrito, OJ and Frontier roll, my uncle's posole, green chile chicken enchiladas, orange julius, a funnel cake or three, still warm krispy kreme glazed donuts with chocolate frosting, buttermilk pie, my grandma's granola, berry cobbler, vanilla ice cream with homemade butterscotch sauce and a steak. Not necessarily in that order. :-)

Your mom's potato salad for sure! Her turkey dinner (stuffing, turkey, sweet potato pie), my dad's steak yaki soba, a strawberry limeade from Sonic, and maybe a pork salad from cafe rio! (:

wow, good question. i could probably go on and on. but my first thought when i read the question was french toast. i love breakfast. so breakfast food would definitely have to be part of my last meal.
