happiness is....sunlight.

there are four buildings in our condo development. three in a row, that each face north/south, and ours, kind of off by itself, that faces east/west. i love that ours faces this way, because of the way our condos are laid out. in the morning and afternoon, the boys rooms are flooded with sunlight, and in the evenings, the front room and our bedroom get the full west sunshine. in the summer, that's not always my favorite because it gets seriously stuffy in these rooms. but every other season it makes me so happy. i think i suffer from SAD and there's nothing quite like a flood of sunshine to cheer me up. it's an added bonus that my boys have colorful balloons to play with in the sun. happiness is sunlight.

I LOVE getting natural light into the house. We face east and west, too, and I love to open the blinds, and turn off all the lights. Just makes ya feel good. Especially when it's warm enough to open the windows and let some fresh air in, too.

When we bought our house in AZ I would only look at houses that faced north/south because of the HOT sunlight in the summers. But when we get our sunlight in our side windows I love it!

I call our house "the cave." Our living room only ever gets indirect sunlight. With the lack of sunlight and the dark floors and furniture we have, it gets pretty sad. I often gaze across at your west-facing windows and wish I'd had a say when Brian bought this place!!

I like having sun brighten a room, but I don't like direct sunlight. Don't know, always liked the cloudy days, especially to travel on and I'm a big fan of dark curtains. But during the winter, sunlight is always a welcomed sight.
