"I invite you to read the Book of Mormon between now and the end of the year. As impossible as that may seem with all you are trying to manage in your life, if you will accept this invitation with full purpose of heart, the Lord will help you find a way to achieve it. And, as you prayerfully study, I promise that the heavens will open for you. The Lord will bless you with increased inspiration and revelation.
"As you read, I would encourage you to mark each verse that speaks of or refers to the Savior. Then, be intentional about talking of Christ, rejoicing in Christ, and preaching of Christ with your families and friends. You and they will be drawn closer to the Savior through this process. And changes, even miracles, will begin to happen."

Really? THAT is what happiness is? If I'd only known how easy it was to achieve all these years...
I love those, too. Something about them . . . I totally agree.
YES! so true
Yes and it is because if you can see the vancuum lines then your children have yet to ruin your hard work with toys and little footprints. Enjoy... mine never last too long.
Did you know that Grandma Larson used to sweep her carpet after she vacuumed to get rid of the lines? I always thought that was so weird, I love the lines, usually because they don't last.
Oh that's funny. That reminds me that my mom had this big, huge carpet rake that she'd use to make the carpet look nice after vacuuming.
oooooh i soooo agree. that is why ive always loved grandma larson's carpet in the fancy room.
Dave- Now you know what to give her for her birthday and Christmas...A nice vacuuming! (The carpet, that is, not her. That would just be rude. But it does remind me of that hair vacuum they used to sell to cut men's hair. Quick, someone google it!)
Jessica!! FLOWBEE!! Awesome . . .
amen, sista - here in our rental, the carpet is super crappy and my beloved vacuum lines are gone SO fas. i dream of quality carpet....
Diane, oh yes. I have raked Grandma's carpet before. I was a little shocked that the job wasn't done til you raked at her house. I always thought the lines showed everyone how clean your house was...Do you mop on your hands and knees like she always did? I feel guilty using a mop. I'm always down there on my hands and knees. So, I'm with you, Emily. Lovin' the lines. And no, Val and I don't blog. We just steal fun from yours. Love ya.
Oh I SOOO agree!
AMEN!
I miss vacuum lines! We have horrible, disgusting berber (or however you spell it) carpet in our house. It's just awful! It's not soft under your feet, and it doesn't show vacuum lines! And it's white, or should I say, used to be white. Kids aren't very conducive to white carpet. It is now a disgusting shade of gray, covered in stains. Ugh, I can't wait to replace. That and my kitchen. Ah, someday.....
hahaha! i couldn't agree more!
A vacuume rake sounds like an awesome invetion. Growing up, I had a friend whose mother would not let you walk on her just vacuummed carpet because she loved the vacuume lines so much. (she was a little bit whack-o) I do love vacuume lines too. They mean "clean and tidy."
