"I invite you to read the Book of Mormon between now and the end of the year. As impossible as that may seem with all you are trying to manage in your life, if you will accept this invitation with full purpose of heart, the Lord will help you find a way to achieve it. And, as you prayerfully study, I promise that the heavens will open for you. The Lord will bless you with increased inspiration and revelation.
"As you read, I would encourage you to mark each verse that speaks of or refers to the Savior. Then, be intentional about talking of Christ, rejoicing in Christ, and preaching of Christ with your families and friends. You and they will be drawn closer to the Savior through this process. And changes, even miracles, will begin to happen."

I saw this and was quite surprised!
KINDERGARTEN?!!!
This will happen in Ca if prop 8 doesn't pass.
I never, ever wanted to home school. Now I'm thinking twice.
(I left a response to your comment on my blog).
my comment on em's blog was this:
"Yikes. I was glad to hear that neither candidate endorses changing the law regarding marriage (in the VP debate)."
and her response to mine was this:
"Hey Emily-
Last night I checked out a bunch of Obama speeches, his website and a few other sources (I checked factcheck.org but it didn't say) because I wanted to find out exactly Obama's stance. Basically I found out this:
Obama opposes same-sex marriage, but also opposes a constitutional ban (ie: wouldn't support prop 8). Says he would repeal the Defense of Marriage Act and voted against the Federal Marriage Amendment.
So while according to "[his] Christian beliefs [he] believes marriage is between a man and a woman" it appears legally he would do nothing to protect traditional marriage."
I guess I really AM voting for McCain. I've been undecided up to this point.
Same thing is happening in Canadian schools too where same sex marriage is legal
