yesterday we had stake conference in a high school auditorium. the power was out, so there were no lights, and a small podium with a microphone that must have been battery-powered...and no air conditioning. i kept thinking they would cancel or at least postpone it, but they just kept on keepin' on. it started getting hotter and hotter and then, mercifully, the power came back on. so we had lights and better sound, but...still no air conditioning. it kept getting hotter but i kept thinking it would get cooler. it never did. i don't know if the power actually did come on or if they got the school's generator working so we could have lights on. i would've rather sat in the dark, it probably woulda been cooler. i also kept thinking the stake presidency would let us leave early since it was so hot...but we ended up going 15 minutes over the two hour meeting time. by the time we left, we were all sweating. and when noah sweats, his hair does this:
i love it. i know he needs a haircut, especially in the hot summer, but i just love those little curls. so even if we had to sit through 2 1/2 hours of beastly heat, at least noah looked cute for the rest of the day.

You are amazing for going and taking both of your kids to Stake conferences. Ryan and I decided a while ago to trade off for long meetings and just have one of us go sans children so that at least one of us can get something out of it and report to the other, because really, Sacrament meeting is bad enough. At some point we'll have to introduce kids back in, but it won't be anytime soon!! You are a brave woman! The curls are cute though. haha
Why on earth were you at a high school? And What happened to the power?
Our stake center is about a hundred years old (seriously) and won't fit the whole stake, so we met at the high school auditorium because it was bigger. The power was out from Bountiful (just north of Salt Lake) all the way up to here, I don't know why. Our house had power, but the stoplight just across the street didn't work. Weird, huh?
HAHAHA!!! It was really Hot in there! I made the kids little fans with the flyers... THat first microphone and the 2 fans were on the generator, they couldn't turn the fans all the way up because then it would have drowned the speakers... Everytime the kids talked, I couldn't tell what they were saying up there...
Noah really has cute curls!
Tyler and I saw his curls. It was great.
I am majorly proud of you for making it through 2 1/2 hours with your kids! You must have awesome kiddos! His hair is so sweet. I love the baby curls.
that sounds miserable! but those curls are to die for!!!
Very, very cute. And hilarious to make a whole blog post out of it. Great curls!
