we've been bugged

i came up with the term "blog stalker".

i'm serious.

sometime last year i was reading my friend jessica's sister-in-law's blog. we know each other a little, and when i left a comment i said "sorry to be a blog stalker but..." (you can read my full comment here. see? i even have proof of the date and time) and then a few days later she had a post called "blog stalking or ...." something else that i can't remember (and i thought to myself, hey! she used my term!), something like "blog watcher" or "just interested" or something like that..... i even went back and tried to find the post and it's GONE.

this is suspicious to me.

why is it gone?

somebody's trying to cover their tracks and make it look like that's not where they got it.

no, i am not blaming katie for spreading the term. in fact, i'm grateful. i feel smart when i see other people use my phrase.

i'm just sayin', every time i read it (and it's all over the internet now) i think,

"huh. i wonder if anyone knows i coined that phrase?"

well now you do.

the other weird thing is that this happens all the time with dave.
he'll say a phrase for months, and then all of a sudden we hear it on tv, or at the store, or read it online, and we always think the same thing:

somebody's got our house bugged.

i think they got to our computer, too.

LOLOL! Maybe you need to start copyrighting everything you type and everything you say. :P

That is a good idea, you need to copyright everything you say and do and then you can make millions when someone uses it! (Don't you have a BIL or two that are lawyers? Here's their chance to prove their worth.)
I have the same problem, but with trends in decorating. I think something up, dig and dig until I find just the right thing and then 6 months later, my colors and ideas are everywhere.

I guess we are just really brilliant people.

ok, i swear i was the one who started "bff"--or atleast, i brought it back!

and, i also think i started the term--blog hopping. anybody else heard/use that?

AND, i am the same way with music. i feel like all the songs/artists that i love that are relatively unknown get HUGE later and i want to be like, "yeah, i heard that song like a year ago!"
