i took the boys swimming this morning.
when we got home we were all pretty tired.
isaac fell asleep right after lunch but noah seemed pretty awake still, so i decided to take a shower.
when i got out, i found this:
poor kid fell asleep on the floor. sheesh. what kind of mother am i?
but wait. what's that around his arm you ask?
oh. that's just one of my ponytail holders.
i am currently completely out of them.
i don't even know where he found this one, because they've been missing for days.
and i have a bunch.
he has this weird fixation with having things around his hands/wrists/biceps.
it starts out here:
then it slowly moves up his arm
(sorry about the blurry picture, it's not easy to catch photos of a moving target):
until it gets up here.
and there it stays, usually until bathtime.
just another one of those funny things that i love about my no-man.
it started when he was very small. he would see one around my wrist and take it off and put it around his own wrist. i used to think it was cute--but it can get kind of annoying when i want to put my hair back and i have no pony-tail holders! there are a few places i always check: his crib, the carseat, and the ground outside the car. there are usually a few in at least one of those places.
it's very strange. but somehow endearing. he's a funny kid!

Noah looks old in these pictures. Didn't I just see him a few weeks ago? And his hair has really bleached out in the sun, he's looking fly.
Aw, so sweet. He is such a cute kid!
His hair has gotten really light. And Carter does the same thing with my hair ties and bracelets and anything else he can find to go around his wrist. Weird.
It seems like those would hurt around his arm! Maybe I just have fat arms or something and I'm just imagining it around MY arm. He looks so much like Isaac!
parker loves for us to tape his wrists. he thinks that's what football and basketball players do. he "tried" on brynn's bracelet yesterday. let's just say he owes her a new one. the picture of him asleep is so dang cute!
Cutie. You can see a lot of personality in that picture in the high chair. Who's Gandalf?
Someone else already said it, so no points for originality, but: Noah HAS really gotten blonde and he IS looking more and more like Isaac and he absolutely IS a cutie.
I don't know who gandalf is stacy. random commenter I guess.

i know lynette. the first time we took his shirt off and saw one around his bicep we burst out laughing thinking it was a mistake. but it kept happening and happening, so we finally realized he was doing it on purpose. what a weirdo!!
