i'm sick, sick, sick. so i'm trying to cheer myself up with some random thoughts on monday, instead of thursday. it was bad yesterday, at least i feel a little better today but still can't even drink water--the second the tiniest sip hits my stomach i regret it instantly. so, here are some sick snippets.

well i found another reason:

my sister-in-law jenny is pregnant.
with a girl!
that makes 3 girls, 5 boys (nieces and nephews) in my husband's family.
this means hope.
it takes a special kind of person to be a mother of all boys, and i don't think i'm that person!

a month or so ago isaac was having bad tummyaches, so i took him to the doctor because he wasn't eating. the doctor said everything looked fine, and to buy some mylanta and give to him whenever he complained about his stomach hurting. so yesterday morning i wasn't feeling well and tried some mylanta. isaac said that that was his medicine, and i asked if i could have some too. he said sure, then he asked what that medicine was called.
dave said, "mylanta."
isaac said, "no, it's MY lanta!"

Ugh, being sick is the very worst! It has been the worst year ever for being sick! Hopefully it'll only be a few more hours and you'll be over it. So sorry!

Emily. Love that Albuquerque picture. I think it was a great place to raise a family. Sorry about Carlsbad (which we went to with Alice, Dave and family just before we moved - it's worth the trip)and White Sands (which I have been to on Sandia business). Hope your better soon. Lots of sickness in the family - Hannah's in the hospital tonight, and Ellen/Jared took Kate to instacare and got home after 10 pm.
LOVE that picture of Albuquerque - thanks for posting it and making me think of our home sweet home. And I love the picture of Noah's fat lip - not because he's hurt but because it was reassuring to find out that my kids aren't the only ones who run into furniture on purpose. I thought Charlie and Rachel were weirdos but now I know at least it runs in the family...
