have you ever played an april fool's joke on someone?
**************
i have not. this is a boring question of the week for me.
get off my case, i'm busy today.
heh heh heh.
my mom once told my brother delos that his windows had all been smashed out in his car (after he had just had them replaced because it actually had happened a week or so before). he went running out in his pajamas, so upset, and my mom called after him, "april fool's!"

Not really. But my sister broke her nose on April Fool's Day in a college basketball game and when she called my parents they hung up on her thinking she was playing a joke!
That's too funny! I can't see your mom doing that for some reason....
I used to do all kinds of things at work. Tape the receiver down and then call their extenstion and they would pickup the phone but no one was there. "Fix" people's chairs either up or down and take the staples out of the stapler. One year we tied fishing line to this ladies calendar and then would tug it every once in awhile and she was postive that it was a ghost moving thinks.
My sister and I played a pretty elaborate one on my parents a few years back, and we all still laugh about it. My parents had just spent the weekend in Vegas at a conference and my sister got one of her friends to call my mom pretending to be a representative from the hotel. She told mom that there had been a salmonella outbreak and that they had gotten her name from her credit card slip at the buffet. We then had someone call from the "Clark County Health Dept" saying that they would be sending a kit for a fecal sample. Gross, I know, but mom totally fell for it. We left her hanging for a few hours and then called her!
this morning I left for work at 5:15am I woke Sean up (who is totally not a morning person) and asked him if he had left the car unlocked last night. He said no and I told him that the car was gone. He was instantly wide awake sitting straight up saying, "are you kidding me" I wanted to have him go outside in his pj's and then realize it was a joke but I was laughing too hard at his reaction to keep it going.
Our kids have been playing jokes all day!! Hilarious stuff.
And hello Jessica! When are you going to start a blog so we can see more of Emerson? Oh and you and Greg, of course. :P
When I was on my mission, my parents sent a decent sum of money as a gift to a family from the island on which I was serving (in West Africa). I gave it to him (they were working on saving up to go to the temple and were selling their house and everything) and he acted sort of weird and then laughed hysterically (this guy sort or reminds me of Barack Obama, only hyper). Anyway, he couldn't believe it. Come to find out, he thought it was a joke because of the April 1st date on the check. Go figure--it's a "holiday" in Africa, too.
I'm not big into April fools day but the girls were super excited about it. So I sent Alli to school in a walking cast and she told everyone she fractured her leg, and Claire with her arm bangaged up in an ace bandage...I wondered if this was a bit unethical but I figured the girls would not be able to keep a secret very long....they were so happy that I played along.
Ask James what he did to me the year after we got married. It was the meanest and most elaborate april fool's joke EVER!! Let's just say I know better now!
