dirty sticky kid

i never expected to be the mom of one of those dirty, sticky kids.
but it's happened. and it's all my fault.
check this out:

i have no idea what's in his hair that's making it stand up like that,
but it's literally stuck that way.
i don't know if it's syrup, spit, or some other unknown substance.love the bleach stain....
and the hole in the sweats.
okay, sweats, period.
check out his shirt. no, that's not a shadow. he's actually soaking wet.
i don't know why.
if you enlarge the picture you'll notice chocolate milk dripping down his chin.
could that be the source of the mysterious wet shirt?
check out those FINGERNAILS. disgusting.
he had cheetos earlier in the day and i swear i washed his hands afterwards,
but it looks like i didn't do a very good job.

okay, so this was at the end of the day and i tend to get careless as it gets closer to bathtime, but seriously!
i better get my act together before this kid has to go to school.
poor noah.

Gotta love that. I am the same way, I never thought my kids would be THOSE kids, but they totally are. Beth's hair will get seriously crazy and in need of brushing and their clothes are always covered in who knows what...oh well, they survive it somehow. And at least we know they are enjoying life. :)

Try having three girls that need to have 'pretty' hair all day long...it lasts maybe 30 minutes...oh and the sparkle mismatched outfits are hideous, but they feel so pretty in them. :) I think no matter how hard you try, every kid turns into one of 'those' kids whether you like it or not.

I love it. That picture of Noah's hair is classic. Don't feel bad Em, I'm the same way. People always think Cam is clean and neat little boy... but at home-he is the king of dirty. I think little kids have magnets inside that attract everything!!!!

Jared is constantly calling our kids "dirty sticky kids" because let's face it, it's true, but I HATE it, it makes me so mad. And I agree with Jolene about the girl hair thing, it's 100 times worse. Girls can only stay cute for about ten minutes

I think we've all been there..one way or another. Kids..they just get into everything..my son has a bad habit of getting into the hair gel and gelling his hair and everything else! its awful!
To answer your question about Dave breaking his hand, I wasn't there..tell me about it!
I'm not super mom, just super crazy. That radio show is my church calling (can you believe that?) so I have to do it once a month and last night was the night we had scheduled it so snow or more snow it had to be done so it can air this sunday. Nothing special or spectacular..just what I went to school for..you know all those days I was gone and you and Jess and Christina NEVER saw me..that is what I was doing..

Once your kids can feed themselves, it's all over. Whenever I see kids wearing adorable, cute outfits, I laugh! They only stay that way for the first 20 seconds they ever wear them... so not worth the $$$!

We have that same sippy cup and it is notorious for leaking. The little filter thing never stays in tight and it drips no matter what. Congratulations, your kids are NORMAL!

funny val, those are the only sippies we use because they're the only ones i've found that DON'T leak! hilarious! the milk dripping down his chin is because he loves to spit.

i guess i should be glad i don't have girls!
