this morning dave let me sleep in. what a nice guy! then as he headed off to his presidency meeting, isaac decided he wanted to make cupcakes. you know, it's a great idea to eat cupcakes at 9:30 am on a saturday, sure!...so we made cupcakes and they're delicious. you would not BELIEVE the mess that ensued, however. i'm thinking the cupcakes were a bad idea. the picture of noah doesn't do it justice. he was covered head to toe in chocolate.
now it's off to draper for a hot date with a guy named dave (that's right, we drive to draper for baby-sitting, what's it to you?).
then i washed isaac's sheets and made his bed with the new quilt grandma made for him. look at all those little squares that she cut out and sewed together! i don't even want to think about how much time this took her. i LOVE it and it looks so good in his room. thanks mom!

Frosting! Oddly enough, they sell Pillsbury Cake Mix here but no frosting! I wish I had known... I would have brought a case! Have a great date!
those cupcakes look delish, can you send me one for my birthday? Otherwise I'm sure I'll get no cake at all. What are you doing for your date?
I drive a ways for free babysitting sometimes too... I don't blame you! And the cupcakes look fabulous.

dave loved it, we both thought it was a little crass but had its moments. a little depressing too, i cried--thinking of how hard pregnancy is but how much worse it would be as a 16 year old with no husband to lean on.
i think we mostly just love jason bateman and george michael from arrested development.
Love the quilt. Your mom is so talented. I still wear those pajama pants she made for all of us years ago!
YOU NERD! Why don't you guys let US watch your klids for date night? We could switch off every month. I know of an indoor palyground and I'm not afraid to use it!
Is it a problem that I call both of your children "Isaac"? Because I can change that. Maybe.
