question of the week:

If you could have a superpower, what would it be?

******************

My sister-in-law Holly asked this question on her blog a few weeks ago and it intrigued me. I love the TV show Heroes and there are some interesting powers on that show. My favorite is Milo Ventimiglia's character, Peter Petrelli. His power is that he absorbs everyone else's powers, so he's all-powerful. That's pretty cool. Natalie said she would choose teleportation, which was a cool choice: not having to bundle up the kids, put them in their carseats, etc. every time you have to run to the grocery store...or if you just need a break one weekend, head on down to the Cayman Islands...teleportation would be awesome. Wikipedia has an interesting list of superpowers, check it out here. Time travel, immortality, shape-shifting...But nothing sounds as appealing as teleporting to me. Maybe it's because I'm dying for a vacation....three more storms set to hit Utah this week...I'm so sick of snow! So I guess I would choose to teleport.

What would your superpower be?

I'd have to say absorption because I know myself well enough to know that I wouldn't be satisfied with the superpower I had. My whining would go something like this, "Invisibility stinks! Who cares about being invisible? It's not a useful superpower like teleporting or the ability to fly! Why does everyone else have uselful superpowers and all I can do is be invisible. BIG WHOOP!"
So, if I'm going to have ONE, why not have them ALL!

ahhh, that was nice of dad to say. I would like to be able to be cheerful at any given moment.

oh, let me add- actually FEEL cheerful, not just act that way (I know I could already do that)

That WAS nice of Dad! I'm with Lynette on this one. If I'm going to have one, I might as well have them all!

I'm with Emily, at least right now. I would love to teleport! Getting the kids packed up and taken anywhere is such a hassle, and I am dying to get anywhere at the moment. It would be so nice to just be able to pop up some where nice!
