- my dad was stake president starting when i was zero until i was ten. we often had general authorities stay with us during stake conferences. one time elder hartman rector was staying at our house, in my parents bedroom. this was when i was in the stage of getting in bed with my parents at night....you can guess the rest. i didn't know he was there, don't recollect climbing in their bed at all, but in the morning he goes, "hey, there's my bed partner!" i was mortified. well, as mortified as a 3- or 4-year-old can be.
- i secretly wish i was a wedding coordinator. i used to want to open my own wedding shop and plan weddings and help girls pick out dresses...i love weddings. me and my sister ellen talked about doing it once in provo because of how many weddings they have there, but i'm not sure most people can afford wedding coordinators (i'm pricey).
- i am a compulsive shopper. if i'm sad or depressed or had a bad day, buying clothes will always cheer me up. this was BAD when i first went to byu and got my first credit card (and didn' t have a job!). it's under control now because i learned my lesson when i had to go home and work during the summers just to pay it off. it still helps though (shopping when i'm sad).
- my high school reunion (10 year) is this year and i cannot decide if i should go. i have really good memories of high school and don't want to ruin them.
- i have to use black-ink pens. can't stand any other color. the pentel RSVP is my favorite.
- i had kidney surgery when i was 13 and i have a giant scar on my right side. it always bothered me because i would never be able to wear a bikini...now i can't figure out why i ever wanted to wear one in the first place.
- i am very insecure about my feet. my brother delos is always making fun of them. he went so far as to say no one would ever marry me if they saw my feet. he even asked dave recently if he'd seen my feet and why he still married me. dave doesn't mind them. he's nice. delos is not (just so you know, there's nothing wrong with my feet. i'm just insecure about them).

I remember some of those shopping trips with you freshman year--like when we went to Park City and you just HAD to have some Polo socks. I thought that was pretty funny.
I am totally the same way about the weddint coordinator thing! I wish I could do my wedding over about a thousand times. I love weddings! I would help everyone plan their wedding if I could. I would love to own a wedding dress store. I think that would make me so happy. If you ever move down this way again we could do it together! :)
I always thought it was James E. Faust that you slept with! I haven't gone to one of my class reunions and I wish I would have gone to the one last one. It's been a lot of years and I wanted to see how old everyone was. I have helped plan about 10 weddings now and it's not fun. For some reason they want to do what they want and not what you want. Like it's their wedding or something.
I already knew all those things, can you try again? I only like blue ink pens, weird
I didn't know any of this! My dad was SP too and we had several General Authorities stay at our home as well. I can remember one of them sharing a similar story, except the kid had wet the bed during the night and then snuck out in the morning! Em, it could have been worse!
umm ya I knew these too so they are not so little known---try again. But I do hear ya on the high school reunion thing. at least I'm in the same town where I went to high school so I wouldn't have to travel (I totally wouldn't go if I had to travel to another state) but I still don't really know if I want to go or not.
jess, what if STEVE goes?! you have to go and see what he's up to!
we have numbers 2 and 3 in common - no surprise at all! remind me again - why don't you live in Colorado?!?!
umm...too cold?!
