about isaac

remember when you used to cry every night because you couldn't get pregnant?

remember the day you found out you were?

remember the first time you felt him kick?

remember when you had your first ultrasound on dave's birthday and found out you were having a boy?

remember the day he was born and you held him for the first time and he wouldn't stop sticking his tongue out?

remember holding him when he slept, even when you were exhausted, because you couldn't bear to lay him down?

remember when he used to dance with dave?

remember when he first said "mama"?

remember when singing "in the leafy treetops" would always make him happy?

remember when he had surgery and you cried when they took him away?

remember when you saw him take steps for the first time?

remember your girls weekend away for the first time since he was born, and you missed him so much you had dave come visit you?

remember when he started talking and only you could understand him?

remember when we would go to thanksgiving point every week?

remember the summer we spent outside all day every day: playing in the hose, going for walks, going to the park?

remember how funny he was when he would talk through his binky?

remember when he used to run constantly and wanted you to run with him?

remember how much he loved spaghetti?

remember when he used to do the actions to "popcorn popping" and "do as i 'm doing" and he was so little?

remember when he would kiss your tummy because there was a baby in there?

remember when he saw noah for the first time?

remember when he loved playing with your make-up?

remember when he loved having you lay by him at night and "pet" his face, back, arm, tummy, and neck?

remember when he pretended to be cinderella?

remember when all he wanted was you?

remember when all you wanted was him?

remember this on days like today, and maybe it won't seem quite so bad.

This should be turned into a Children's book! Beautiful!

This totally choked me up! I think every mom needs to write something like this about their kids to remember why it is that we do what we do. Thank you Emily. Beautiful.

So tender and sweet. Brought a small little tear drop to my eye. (I agree with Lynette on the children's book idea).

so good! I need to do that more often. i feel the same way about parker and i need to remind myself the good stuff. some days i have to tell myself over and over "the better i am to them the better they'll be to me!"

Just Remember...you may be raising a General Authority! Does that help any?

I think his post is referring to the fact that you are overwhelmed and such (as evidenced by the post)just like Pres. Hinckley was on his mission.

Am I close?

I thought it was funny too.
