Year of a Million Dreams
“Where every Cinderella story comes true.”
Who doesn't want to be Cinderella? How fun for Scarlett Johannsen to get to take this picture. I love Disneyland! I've only been there three times--once when I was three, once for me and Dave's first anniversary, and again with two of my sisters, parents, and one brother right before I found out I was pregnant with Isaac. When I went with Dave it felt like the first time because I barely remember the trip in 1983. Waiting outside the gates while they played "When you wish upon a star" I was almost in tears, I was so excited to get inside. Dave went all the time growing up in California, so he steered me to the best places like a pro. The second morning it was raining so we went at opening and were the first on every ride in Fantasyland. Sadly, my camera was sort of broken unbeknownst to me and I only have a few pictures from the trip. We were eating breakfast at Goofy's kitchen when I discovered it and I cried. Lame, I know. I love California Adventure too--have you been on the Soarin' Over California ride? It's so fun! My dad even loved it. I can't wait to take our kids there. Disneyland is a magical place, and I am in love with these celebrity photos by Annie Liebovitz.
Natalie is a friend of my brother's from college. We've met a few times but I barely know her. Even though I hardly know her, her name is on my list of blogs on the side to read--yes, I stalk her blog. I love it. And on Saturday she posted this about Disney's Year of a Million Dreams--she loves Disney more than anybody alive I think. Check out her blog--those pictures are amazing! I want to go and win a prize!! Check out the rest of the Liebovitz pictures. They're amazing.

I went to Disneyland for the first time right before Ammon and I got engaged. He actually was going to propose to me in Cinderella's castle and when I saw him begin to get nervous and reach into his pocket, I stopped him. There were so many people and I knew it would become a huge scene. To this day, I kinda regret doing that. I feel like I ruined one of the sweetest moments of my life.
soo sad!! how did he end up proposing? my brother james proposed at "it's a small world" and they announced it over the loudspeaker.
He proposed to me in his grandparent's beautiful garden. There is a small stone that has his hand print in it from when he was a little buy and he walked me over to it to show it to me and in his hand print was a little black box. He said something to the affect that I've been what he's been searching for since he was little... still very sweet, but maybe not as magical.
WAY sweet. and private. i like it.
Oh, and I tagged you! Check my blog for details...
P.S. If you hate doing these, please disregard!
I think I went to Disneyland in 1983, too! I do remember the haunted house. I refuse to ever go in that place again!
it's all right gym, sometimes holly copies her too, you can tell from her blog. it's what friends do. have you heard dave's nemesis/archenemy theory? i'll explain it sometime.
I'm so honored to be mentioned here on "Something"! And put on the side bar, too?! I'm so doing the same - hurrah for friends via friends!
