i found this shirt at lands end yesterday.
i really want it for zoe.
but mostly i really want it for me.
******
i'm catching up on project runway all stars
and burst out laughing when isaac mizrahi
called austin's dress "modest" on the second episode.
it was strapless, plunging neckline in the front,
and backless.
so funny.
******
i was grouchy last night,
doing laundry at 11 pm and making 3 trips to carry it all back.
so i started listing things i was grateful for as i walked back and forth
and by the time i was done, i was happy.
hm. counting blessings really works.
who knew?
******
isaac got his finger caught in a door at the church yesterday
while i was making up brackets for the cub scout pinewood derby.
it was so gross, with a huge dent.
he was sure it was broken
but 15 minutes later
he saw his best friend from school
and they played basketball together.
thank goodness for friends and distractions.
******
zoe is starting to display
the same behaviors as noah at her age
about wearing diapers and clothes
and i feel extremely worried about it.
******
i have sneezed 17 times today.
******
while it will probably give me skin cancer,
i'm grateful that we live this high up in the winter.
the intensity of the sun makes it feel at least 10 degrees warmer
than it actually is.
also, the winters here are 10,000 times better
than winters in utah.
******
i finally got a new cell phone
(one that hasn't been microwaved).
i can't believe how much easier and better life is
when you can text.
******
my dad is really awesome.

Winter is not always this great....this is the mildest one we have ever had since I moved here. But I'm not complaining! I love that my kids can still get out and play some days!
Who counts their sneezes in a day? Hilarious!
i saw a navy and white stripped shirt over the weekend in Macy's and immediately thought of you.
i was grouchy pretty much all day yesterday!, so i distracted myself by going home early and cuddling with Chris.
i totally agree about your dad.
I don't sneeze that much, Jimmy, so after the fourth sneeze I started counting. It was crazy--I sneezed six times in a row on the way to school this morning. SIX! That's a personal record.
yea! text me! makes life so much easier!
Navy and white stripes always make me think of you. You've branded that very well!
And yes, your dad really is really awesome. :-)
Ha! I was going to say the same thing as Jimmy! Also? I love texting.
What did your dad do? Or is that just a general awesomeness?
texting is awesome, I SO agree. That's how John and I chat during the day while he's at work. I also have to admit that I laughed when you said you are feeling extremely worried about zoe and diapers and clothes, because it was such a cute way to say that.
