hunger games nails

in case you want to look like somebody from the capitol,
because you know the poor folks in the districts sure don't have nail polish.

i think my favorite is stone cold, although dress me up and foie gras aren't bad either. i could see smoke and ashes on my toes, but definitely not that dark on my fingernails. what's your favorite?

I don't know how I feel about "Hunger Games" nail polish. Loved, loved the book - but I didn't walk away thinking about colorful nails. Can't wait for the movie to come out!

The PA Foleys gave me the Hunger Games book when we were there for Thanksgiving. I was hooked. Even before we left PA I went online to reserve a copy of Catching Fire from my library. Silly me, thinking it would be there for me to read when I got home. I was #89 in line. Now 3 months later, I have moved up to #9. Woohoo! Almost there.
Anyway, as to your nail polish question: in high school I would have loved riviting. I love fall colors, but it took awhile to realize I don't look good in them. I would totally wear dress me up.

Vivian! Do you want me to send you my copies of #2 and #3?? It's a travesty to have to wait when all 3 are already out!

I love them all. I'm going to have a hard time deciding which one(s) to buy. I think my two favorites are Agro and Mahogany Magic. I haven't seen a collection where I wanted them all since China Glaze released a Wizard of Oz collection back in 2009.

P.s. I hope they release a "Districts" collection because if there is one named after Peeta I'm buying 3 even if it's putrid.

Oh, I LOVE dark polish on finger nails... I'd be all over Smoke and Ashes and Stone Cold for my fingernails.

Thanks for the offer, Emily, but I don't mind waiting. If I had 2 & 3, nothing else in my life would get done until I had read them. I read Harry Potter way too fast and didn't savor them enough. It's like scarffing Thanksgiving and then asking "is that all?" I have other books I am reading inbetween each and enjoy having something to look forward to.

fast track and hook and line are pretty. I like fast track in principle, but probably not on my nails. i just like it because it's pretty.

Whoa. I saw this post and didn't know what to say. Then just now, I saw a headline about Hunger Games nail polish, only they list very different names for the colors -- very "Hunger Games" names!

But sadly, the article is saying there will be no line. Check it out!

I hadn't heard about that Stacy! Crazy.

LOVE Foies Gras. The color! "ACTUAl" Fois Gras...not so much. Terrible story about an accidental sampling in Paris. Still recovering. My husband waited until I had stuffed the entire thing into my mouth at an open market to tell me what it was. Just the experience to help teach me..."When in Rome"...is not always advisable.

And GO for smoke and ashes on short finger nails. LOVE it. I have a similar color on my toes right now. I have (short!) acrylic nails that are almost always a clean french manicure. Twice a year I'll go with a really dark dark nail. I'm toying with the idea ditching my acrylics all together in the move (losing my amazing nail guy) for short gel so I can work a reeeealy dark nail all the time. I feel like any kind of length at all with dark polish just screams 1980-something.

Hunger Games. I got the first book from a friend. Then saw the movie trailer. Now can't motivate myself to pick it up. Is it worth it?

I would say I really like Fast Track, Hook and Line. Unfortunately nail polish I have a hard time wearing nail polish though, so I usually don't.
